Welcome to my blog!

Thanks for visiting my blog!  I love to quilt, applique with wool, embroider, knit ... you get the picture!  I've been quilting since 1985, when I took a class to learn to hand piece a quilt.  That quickly became an addiction, and I've been quilting ever since.  I've been reading blogs for the past year, and recently reconnected with Donna from Brynwood Needleworks.  She was so encouraging I decided to jump into this.  I am looking forward to making new blogging friends.

I've been working on a Wool Crazy quilt for the past year.  Here's my progress so far:

It's been a lot of fun!  I'm in a small quilting group that has been meeting to work on our crazy quilts.  My inspiration for this quilt was the book Wool Crazy by Joann Mulally.  I went out on a limb and already sewed down the "2010" so I've only got another month to finish this quilt!  It's hard to know where to stop on a crazy quilt.

I started out 2010 by making this pattern from Lori at Humble Quilts.  This quilt was made from Civil War prints and shirtings.  I really love how it turned out - Lori's instructions were very good.  This one is a doll-size quilt.

I have lots of other pictures to show you - next time!  Thanks for visiting.

It's been so long since I've seen you, but you can rest assured that my next trip to Wisconsin will have time set aside to meet up with you over a cup of tea.
